Asher McGlothlin

LEED AP BD+C

After graduating from the University of Virginia, Asher came to VMDO in the summer of 2015 to work in the K12 Studio. His inspiration to become an architect came from working with his grandfather on carpentry projects at an early age. While in college, his love for music intertwined with his interest in architecture. Asher has since been fascinated by the possibilities that arrive from combining the two separate, yet strikingly similar art forms.

Asher’s design process is highly influenced by the naturally beautiful and culturally vibrant area where he grew up, Grundy, Virginia. Grundy is a small town in southwest Virginia, nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains.

Asher plans to attend graduate school for architecture after learning more about the architectural process from the accomplished team at VMDO.
