Bill Bradley, PhD, AIA, LEED, REFP

Bill brings to our firm a background that combines both education and architecture. Prior to joining VMDO, Bill was an assistant professor at the University of Virginia's Curry School of Education, as well as the assistant director of the Thomas Jefferson Center for Educational Design, an interdisciplinary research initiative developed to bring together educators and architects to discuss best practices and innovative school design. Throughout his tenure, Bill sought connections between education and architecture that would result in better learning environments for children.
Bill is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is affiliated with the Council of Educational Facility Planners, International; Virginia Educational Facility Planners Board of Directors; the Thomas Jefferson Center for Educational Design; Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development; and Phi Delta Kappa Educational Fraternity. Bill continues as adjunct faculty at the University of Virginia where he teaches courses in school design to aspiring school administrators. His articles on school design and planning are published in educational journals and he is a regular speaker at regional, national, and international conferences on education and design. As an integral member of the VMDO team, Bill's goal is to facilitate better communication between educators and architects as we strive to design schools that respond to your needs and Virginia's Standards of Learning.
