The Indoor Practice Facility is a 47,000 SF, three level new addition to Liberty University’s Arena, the Vines Center. The basketball practice facility includes two practice courts, each with side courts for basketball and volleyball. VMDO also completed locker room renovations and updates to the Vines Center weight room. The Basketball Practice Facility connects all three levels of the Vines Center. In addition, a green roof originating at the practice facility serves as a pedestrian bridge linking future academic courtyards to future residential courtyards.
The new athletics facility helps organize the flow and layout of the campus and inspire excitement in campus life. With the incorporation of pedestrian foot paths and other connecting elements, such as the green roof pedestrian bridge, students and visitors are more strongly connected to athletics on the campus and are able to contribute to a growing athletics culture at Liberty University.
