Stairs

Even the most mundane of things - stairs - was turned into a learning opportunity by the museum's designers. The main connection between the first and second floors of the museum is in the form of an over-sized double-helix representing the structure of a DNA molecule. Hovering above it is a globe of the world representing - as the guide explanded - the vastness of the world at the other end of the spectrum.
