VMDO Architects

As the daughter to two engineers, Abby was naturally drawn towards thinking things through and designing solutions. While always having enjoyed the concreteness of numbers, she found herself loving the interdisciplinary and personal nature of architecture. There is no one correct answer in design, but rather a nearly infinite number of conversations and experiences to engage in. As a designer, Abby is guided by her desire to steward resources responsibly and the joy she finds in carrying design values throughout every scale of a project.

Following the completion of her Bachelor of Architecture degree at the University of Texas in Austin, Abby moved to Virginia to join the VMDO team. She is thrilled to be a part of the firm and to serve people and the earth through design. Beyond architecture, she enjoys knitting, reading, laughing at a good joke, and gathering people for any and all occasions - all while preferably being outside.
