VMDO Architects

Armed with her passion for community growth and sustainability, Bianca Briscoe joined the VMDO family as a Designer. She is a North Carolina native that has received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Design Studies, and Master of Architecture from Howard University. Bianca has accumulated a variety of creative experiences. From building outdoor furniture out of moving pallets, to extracurriculars that exude the importance of navigating collaboration, discourse, and creating safe spaces for people to learn from one another. While at Howard, the importance of designing towards community growth and resilience was emphasized. She has gained a deep appreciation for using creativity as a catalyst to the growth and development of both the individual, and the overall community. Concurrently, she believes spaces should be sustainable and one with nature, designed with heavy consideration of its surroundings and its long-term existence in the space.

She is working towards licensure and looks forward to learning more about blending sustainability with essential spaces of assembly, learning, and development. Her other interests in design include flexible furniture, multi-use spaces, and understanding the small details that create the bigger picture.
