Emily has over 15 years of experience in the field of Human Resources, primarily in the arts and nonprofit sector in Charlottesville. After working with museums and educational organizations, she found her true passion is supporting others and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. HR has many facets and exists in nearly all enterprises, but Emily is drawn to places like VMDO where staff have a deep love of the mission and creativity drives their work. Whether it is supporting the needs of current staff or recruiting new talent to join an organization where they will thrive, Emily enjoys ensuring everyone is set up for success in whatever they do.
Originally from New Jersey, she was drawn to central Virginia after studying Art History at James Madison University. Emily enjoys time with her family and escapism into both excellent and mediocre British crime drama.
