Katie is an NCIDQ Certified Interior Designer with diverse experience in the architecture industry including interior design, wayfinding, graphic design, storytelling, and marketing. She weaves this experience together throughout the design process from interiors concept development to space planning, materials selection and specifications, design presentations and engagement with users, and FF&E selection. Katie is particularly interested in examining how people interact with and move through interior environments as well as how interior spaces affect the health and well-being of occupants. She is driven by a passion for evidence-based design and sustainability. Her goal for every project is to create healthy, functional, and beautiful spaces that improve lives.
Katie oversaw the creation of VMDO’s in-house sustainable materials library and database where the firm tracks healthy and transparent products specified firm-wide. Katie collaborates with product reps and manufacturers to curate this digital and physical library.
