
Lauren joined VMDO’s Athletics + Community studio in 2017. Her eleven years in practice have focused on learning environments, but also provided wide-ranging experience in domestic and international projects in urban design, healthcare, corporate environments, and hospitality. She brings a balance of creativity, passion, and determination to all of her work, while keeping an open mind in all endeavors. She has taught at Wentworth Institute of Technology and the Boston Architectural College, where her research focused on the implementation of green technologies in architecture, and the relationship between resource extraction and urban development. Lauren has participated as a member of several community-based design collaboratives, including Architecture for Humanity on Washington, D.C. and is a curator for the web-based design culture and education platform, SectionCut.com. Since joining VMDO, she has been the Project Architect for UVA's Student Health and Wellness Center, and is now serving the same role for UVA's School of Data Science Facility.
