Michael Nolan comes to VMDO with extensive experience designing high-end multi-purpose spaces and hospitality, residential, and commercial programs at scales from 4,000 to 400,000 sq ft. The projects he has commandeered are complex programs with stringent budget constraints that require thoughtful design and detailing, as well as a sensitivity to local historical and community requirements. Michael’s professional expertise has focused on maximizing his understanding of a client’s goals and backgrounds to allow the project design to exceed expectations and enliven their imagination of what architecture can provide.
An understanding of architecture’s social and environmental responsibility informs all projects with which he is involved. The belief that architecture can improve the emotional health of its users and enrich every common experience with our built environment provides a firm orientation for MN’s design approach.
