Abigail Fowler is driven by a desire to create beautiful and sustainable places where people can live and connect with each other. This passion guided her architectural studies that culminated in her master’s thesis entitled Resilient Rehousing of the Lower Ninth Ward. This project offered a multi-scalar approach to resilient housing that allowed New Orleanians’ to foster connections with the surrounding environment and each other. Abigail enjoys channeling this passion into her work on living-learning projects on college campuses.
A recipient of the 2024 VMDO Travel Fellowship, Abigail traveled to Germany to explore the role public art plays in Berlin’s post-wall urban culture.
