A designer and research enthusiast, Bhargavi Murthy is motivated to create socially relevant and culturally sensitive architecture. She enjoys the interdisciplinary nature of public-facing architectural projects, seeing good design as an act of compassion. Bhargavi’s portfolio, at VMDO and in her native India, includes K-12 schools and higher education projects that also address complex issues such as affordable housing and climate resilience. She is a member of AIA Virginia’s Emerging Leaders in Architecture Class of 2025.
