Gwen Murray is a licensed architect with over twenty years of experience in the building industry. Her varied professional experience includes three years working at a high-end metal fabrication company and managing a design–build residential and sustainability consulting firm for ten years. Gwen was also an adjunct professor at UVA’s School of Architecture for three years teaching graduate level courses on daylight analysis and integrated passive/active strategies. Her passion for building science and responsive environmental design led her to join VMDO in 2025 as the Sustainability Manger. In this role, she oversees the integration of daylight and thermal analysis into projects and sets the bar high for sustainability goals at VMDO.
