Volunteering with English-language learning programs opened Maria Garlock’s eyes to the many ways that design shapes our lives. She resonates the most with civic and communal spaces that serve all communities all give people a place to thrive. For her interior design thesis, Maria designed an early childhood educational center that adapts to each student’s different style of learning. She enjoys exploring these interests in her designs for healthy, accessible, and sustainable educational spaces.
