Michael Deitz joined VMDO in February 2021 as the Marketing Specialist in our Washington, DC office. His passion for architecture has been informed by many outside disciplines. While earning his Master of Architecture degree, Michael pursued focused studies in film production and media and screen studies, resulting in an award-winning thesis on spatial construction in cinema.  

Michael’s work reflects a passion for narrative-driven design, with the belief that great placemaking is imbued with rich storytelling. He has exercised these interests through a range of creative projects in theatrical direction, production design, and a collaboration on a public art installation for Exhibit Columbus. 

Michael brings his architectural background and multidisciplinary approach to our marketing team, where he enjoys being involved in pursuits across offices and studios. Outside of work, he remains an avid moviegoer and is a voting member of Film Independent.
