Terry Forbes serves as VMDO’s Managing Principal, a leadership role created in 2016 to shepherd the day-to-day business operations of the firm. Supporting VMDO’s transition from first to second generation leadership, Terry ensures VMDO continues to grow and thrive by championing the firm’s vision and business plan, serving as an advocate for emerging leaders, and acting as a liaison for the firm’s various thought leadership efforts. The proverbial glue that holds VMDO together, Terry embodies the accessible, flexible, and transparent qualities of leadership that VMDO strives to uphold, all the while respecting the values and best interests of the firm. 

Before serving as Managing Principal, Terry was an active architect and project manager. Terry applied his background in science and learning spaces to VMDO’s designs of teaching laboratories, research facilities, and academic spaces.
