Growing up in Yangon, Myanmar, Thae Thae Su San was immersed in architecture that blended traditional aesthetics with functional design. Her curiosity about how design shapes lives and reflects identity led her to pursue a career in architecture. While studying at Virginia Tech, Thae Thae pursued research opportunities in sustainable materials, computational design tools, and hands-on fabrication. Her goal for every project is to leverage this balance of craftsmanship and innovation to transform space and allow communities to thrive.
