Tyler Jenkins is an experienced project architect with a passion for sustainable design and high-performance buildings. Originally from Madison, Virginia, he has a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of the Virginia countryside, historic preservation, and vernacular architecture. Prior to VMDO, he spent years working on commercial and retail projects and implementing an electrical meter program for the U.S. Coast Guard. 

Tyler has been an instrumental leader on several complex K12 projects at VMDO. He has extensive experience translating thoughtful design concepts into thorough sets of construction documents. His deep understanding of building envelope detailing makes him an asset for any project team. Tyler enjoys the daily engagement of working with owners and coordinating consultant teams to see projects through from beginning to end.
