Renee Ritchie

Renee Ritchie

Renee Ritchie graduated from the University of Virginia in May of 2017 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Architecture, and a minor in Urban and Environmental Planning. Renee returned to VMDO after a summer of interning with the K12 Studio. Her love for both design and children first inspired her to pursue educational-based architecture as a career path.

The intersection between architecture and the environment is one of Renee’s major interests; after spending summers leading children in outdoor adventure and survival, Renee is now an advocate for both immersing children in the natural world and bringing the wild indoors.

Renee will continue to learn and work with VMDO before returning to graduate school for her Masters of Architecture.

In addition to architecture and design, Renee loves the great outdoors, miniature species of plants, black coffee, intense games of ultimate, swimming, large land and sea animals, backpacking in the mountains, distance running, bluegrass music, and food of all genres.
