With more than fifteen years dedicated to student housing planning, Frances Watson Lengowski is passionate about incorporating a wide range of student and staff voices into the coordination and design of higher education projects. She has led housing master plans at major institutions across the southeast and mid-Atlantic, working closely with institutions to create a long-term road map and actionable first steps to improve their housing inventories.  

Frances works continually to refine VMDO’s housing portfolio. She created a custom process of pre- and post-occupancy surveys to extract valuable feedback from facility users. 

Frances has been recognized nationally for significant contributions to the campus housing field. She is actively involved in residence life organizations at the state, regional and national levels through committee leadership, written publication, and conference presentations.
