Lauren Shirley has served as a project architect and project manager for many complex Higher Education and Civic + Cultural projects at VMDO. As a programming specialist, She is passionate about space planning and stakeholder engagement. Lauren works with clients to navigate the difficult questions of capital projects and realize their vision.
Prior to joining VMDO, Lauren taught at Wentworth Institute of Technology and the Boston Architectural College, where her research focused on the implementation of green technologies in architecture, and the relationship between resource extraction and urban development. She has presented at SCUP (Society of College & University Planners), Facades+, ABX (Architecture Boston Expo), and SACUBO (Society Association of College and University Business Officers).
