Lawrence Lazarides’ early interest in architecture began with his fascination with illustrations in comic books, where engaging stories would be told without words. This interest in stories and themes informs his design approach of consistently following a concept from the big idea down to the small detail. Lawrence brings this passion, along with his experience designing affordable housing in the San Francisco Bay Area, to his community-focused work in the DC studio. He believes that sustainable construction methods and a mindfulness of context are essential for designing a better future.
