Early in his life, Nathan Fitzsimmons found an interest in architecture in observing the transformation of his hometown, Greenville, SC. This formative experience instilled in Nathan a duty to design for communities in a way that is forward-thinking and mindful of sustainability. In college and graduate school, he pursued research opportunities focused on material fabrication and application to real-world technologies. Nathan enjoys applying these interests to his work on K-12 school projects at VMDO, most notably the addition and renovation of Charlottesville Middle School.
