Tatum joined VMDO in March of 2022 as a Marketing Specialist in our Charlottesville, VA office. She brings over four years of professional experience as a graphic designer and a marketing specialist in the Charlottesville advertising space. Tatum’s interest in start-up companies and small businesses helped her to grow and learn about how best to support truly dedicated individuals in their path to help their communities. Her passion for creating visual stories that pair beautifully with written narratives started while working towards her Bachelor of Arts where she immersed herself in poetry and graphic design. While at JMU, she was able to study in Ireland for four months learning about how different communities, cultures, histories, and languages can influence design, poetry, and film. She carries that dedication to the process of creation and how it relates to graphics, copy, placemaking, and memories made in the structures that VMDO designs.
She brings her multidisciplinary marketing background to help VMDO in our pursuits across offices and studios. When not at work you can find Tatum crocheting in a Charlottesville park, raiding the local book stores, or cooking for family and friends.
