Tyler joined VMDO's K12 studio after spending four years in project management for various retail and commercial projects. Prior to VMDO, he spent a year working in Charlottesville for Cardno TEC, traveling the world assisting with their facility condition assessment program and implementing the electrical meter program for the U.S. Coast Guard.
He attained a Master of Architecture degree at Virginia Tech where he was a second-year studio TA for two years. Prior the attending Virginia Tech, he attended the University of Virginia School of Architecture where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture in addition to participating in the Vicena, Italy, program.
Tyler grew up in Madison, Virginia, right outside of Charlottesville. Coming from this rural area, he has an appreciation for the natural beauty of the countryside, historic preservation and the vernacular architecture of the area.
